When it comes to performance tuning modern vehicles, sometimes the onboard management systems can trigger DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). WHAT ARE FAULT CODES?
Usually, DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) are very helpful for identifying faulty components. But when it comes to performance tuning, they can start to become something of a nuisance. The ECU is pre-programmed to look for a specific set of values at specific sensors. If the readings are outside what the ECU is expecting, it will trigger a DTC.
Our DTC remover disables specific DTCs from within the ECU, so they will no longer be activated. This allows you to continue using your vehicle without the DTC affecting the performance or functionality of your vehicle.

Many Uses
WHICH DTCs CAN YOU DISABLE?
There are a number of DTCs that we can disable, but one of the most common is P0420. This code indicates ‘low catalyst system efficiency’ and is common on vehicles with a sports cat or de-cat fitted. The performance hardware increased exhaust flow to unlock performance potential, but the changed readings at the O2 sensor causes the ECU to activate the DTC. By disabling this DTC, our engineers can ensure your vehicle enjoys all the benefits of the performance upgrades without the ECU thinking there is a problem.
Other common performance upgrades that may require DTC removal include removing swirl flaps or intake flaps, deleting EGR valves and DPFs, removing speed limiters, and even disabling any stop-start systems.
