Also known as a ‘pop and bang map’ or ‘crackle map’, our specialised software modification works with our performance tunes for turbocharged petrol engines. Available for the vast majority of engines we provide ECU remaps for, this advanced feature will create an aggressive soundtrack usually associated with hardcore race cars. WHAT IS A POP AND BANG REMAP?
Our over-run software modifies the behaviour of your engine during specific driving conditions. When you lift-off the throttle, shift gears, or during engine deceleration, clever adjustments to the spark timing maps, fuel injection, and ignition settings within the Engine Control Unit cause small explosions to occur in the exhaust system.
Many modern performance models have a similar function built-in as standard to deliver a sporty driving experience, but with an upgrade from MET, you can take it to extreme levels! Designed to be used in conjunction with a sports CAT or CAT removal, our ignition timing modifications are carefully calibrated to produce controlled misfires that can replicate the sounds of anti-lag systems on high-performance turbocharged engines, resulting in distinctive and aggressive pops, bangs, and crackles. With our expertly crafted over-run remaps you can create an authentic race car soundtrack that turns heads wherever you go.
